Cheerleading

We're Here To Cheer!

This is the first year of Cheer at the Boys & Girls Club of Faulkner County. Cheer is open to kids in grades 1st to 6th. Teams will cheer during the BGC Basektball season that runs from January to early March.
We will offer a "sibling option" for families with multiple kids either cheering or playing basketball. The $55 fee includes a BGC membership, a cheer t-shirt, bow and cheer skirt rental.
Practice will be held on a week night and cheer teams will be aligned with either a team or division playing games on Saturdays or Sundays.
Cheer will perform from the sidelines during games and perform routines during period breaks, time outs and half-times.

Be a Coach


Coaches are volunteers but all must past a background check and complete the USACheer Youth Coaches trainings. Coaches are under the supervision of the Cheer Director, Nicky Trentacosta.

Coaches are responsible for running practices, maintaining equipment, supervising teams during games, and maintaining communication with parents and Cheer Director. Interested in coaching? Please fill out the coaches form here.

Meet Nicky


The BGC Cheer Director, Nicky Trentacosta, has over 10 years of cheer and dance experience.  Nicky also runs the Conway Rotary Cheer league that forms teams for the Conway youth football league.  Nicky volunteers her time to help kids from all walks of life have the opportunity to cheer and dance at a cost families can afford. She helps make cheer affordable by hand-making as much cheer gear as possible.
